I have worked with President and Mrs Carter for over 20 years. He showed what working together is all about. Though you don’t agree on everything you can accomplish plenty when working together. I will truly miss them both. My prayers are with the family at this time of grief but I know without a doubt that the two of them are rejoicing in heaven.

President Carter took office when I was just six years old. I, obviously, did not understand politics. However, I remember thinking he was the only “important” man I wanted to meet. He and Rosalynn's tireless support of HFH was a large factor in me coming to work at the St. Charles County MO affiliate. Forever grateful.

From a distance, President Carter was a premium model of a servant leader. He did not allow occupying the highest position in the world to keep him from reaching the least of these... What range to live a century-long demonstrating a mentality to serve in Sunday school after sitting in the Oval Office. The humility of President Carter is a worthwhile legacy to learn from.

President Carter is one of the two people I admire as true leaders. I have seen general comments saying that he was not an impactful President — how wrong! When we look at the impacts of what he has done for generations to come, it is so easy to see that he was probably the most impactful President USA had. He was just simply ahead of his times, so advanced in foresight and character. RIP.

There just are no words to say how much you meant to all of us. Just hearts full of love, respect and gratitude for you. We will miss you. But you will be in our hearts forever.

Jimmy Carter, will be remembered as a president who was concerned about values, human rights, and doing things that were both morally and ethically correct. His post-presidential life was remarkable and is worth emulating, especially his altruistic initiatives within the African continent. The world needs more politicians like Carter, who are committed towards alleviation of human suffering.

President Carter showed ALL of us how to live a life of service to others—one that exemplified respect, love, concern for others—qualities that through thousands of years have enabled humans to survive. He also showed the qualities of a follower of the teachings of Jesus, which sadly have been distorted or buried today by many who use his name to justify any means to the end of gaining power in the name of Christianity. He provided a strong, powerful memory of what it is to be a fully developed, wise man.

The first election I voted in was when Jimmy Carter ran against Gerald Ford, and I didn't vote for him. I had a pretty close-up view of his presidency from Baltimore and DC and was particularly affected by the Iranian hostage-taking, during which time I changed my mind about him. Afterward, my admiration and respect steadily grew for him. And Habitat for Humanity - amazing! I will cherish him.

Thank you President Carter for leading our nation and setting an example of service and kindness for us all. You are greatly missed! Our gratitude is to you and your family.

President Carter has always been and will continue to be an inspiration to me. I am grateful for his presence in our lives.

Wished I would have been able to volunteer along side the Carters on a build, but I was able to volunteer at the Carter Work Project on his 100th birthday. He was an inspiration to many.

Every since I was a child entering in high school. My people always said give certain people benefit of the doubt. I couldn't vote. But if I had I would have ran to the polls for him. He and his wife surely got a place in Heaven. I will miss you, so will 1/2 the WORLD.

Works of Love are proof of God's love. President Carter embodied that so completely. He has been an inspiration for me since my youth when he was in office right up to this day. May he rest with all the Angels & the Saints.

My Grandfather and President Carter were good friends and I even have a photo of them flying on Airforce One together.

Ever since I was 2 years old at a 4th of July party, I've loved Jimmy Carter! Every time a firework would go off I'd say, “Yay Jimmy Carter! Yay Jimmy Carter”. Then, 26 years later, when I was with child, I told my mom I was going to name him Carter. To which she said, “Since you were 2 years old, I always knew you'd have a son named Carter”. What a true blessing President Carter was to so many!

With sadness in our hearts and cherished memories on our minds we comforted by knowing his memory will live on through the positive impact he had on so many people around the world.

It was an honor to meet you Mr. President. Building alongside you at a Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project Habitat build is one of my most treasured memories. Godspeed and rest easy.

when my first daughter was born, I named her Amy. Not because of President Carter's daughter initially. My parents were convinced people would only think of President Carter when they addressed MY Amy. They didn't; however, as his presidency ended, and he became the amazing humanitarian he is/was, I would often tell that story when introducing her. She is a grown woman now, and we have participated in Habitat builds in our community with honor. President Carter and Rosalynn embodied what I feel it is to be a true American - embodying integrity, kindness, peacekeeping and truthfulness - and showing that these things can co-exist. I will miss him them this world.

Jimmy and Rosen Carter built my house in 1992 June 15th from 8:00 to 4:00 at Sandtown Habitat Baltimore Maryland. hey were my mentors they meant a lot to me and my girls they will be really missed and my heart and in my soul I love them. Now Jimmy you can teach Sunday school and heaven and be with Rosalynn.

President Carter's commitment to Habitat for Humanity inspired me to become actively involved with my local chapters. Starting with Raritan Valley and Middlesex County, and now with Morris and Warren Counties, his work and legacy continue to inspire me as well as generations of other volunteers, and motivate us to continue to march forward with this critical mission.

May his soul rest in eternal peace! He was such a loving and caring father to a lot of homeless souls, forever remembered!

President Carter and Rosalynn helped built Habitat houses in the community I grew up (Optimist Park in Charlotte, NC). In fact, the incredible impact they had on the local affiliate paved the way for my family to buy a Habitat home, which radically changed my life and many others in our little community. Years later, he and Rosalynn unassumingly returned to the community for a surprise visit!

I was a child when President Carter was in office. However, as I have grown - and have supported the ideals of HFH - I have become aware of how intertwined he and Rosalynn were with HFH. He was a man of humility, generosity, and service. We need more people like him in this world. He will be missed!

It was my most cherished honor and memory to build alongside Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter for a week in 2018 in Mishawaka, Indiana at the Habitat Carter Work Project Build. As I crossed the road from the food tent to the build site he called out to me to “put your hard hat on young lady!” With a big smile on my face I replied, “Yes Sir”.
