Last century, a couple of friends went with me to a Habitat Build to “get their hands dirty.” We got into work groups and went to grab snacks/OJ. We walked up & the two volunteers staffing it turned around. Sure enough it was President and Mrs. “C”. They'd flown in last night and she already knew the whole family history. Total grace, classy, she worked 18 hrs and rocked the 2 yr old to sleep

True definition of a lady. Always standing by her husband's side while being a strong voice for anything she envisioned being better for another person. Rest in peace. Prayers for her husband as he goes through this time. Thank you.

We were at the Women Build house for the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Project in Haiti in 2012 and Ms. Rosalynn made sure to stop by our house to show her support. It meant so much to us that she even wore the shirt that our friend had designed for the event. Her example and influence inspired thousands of women in support of affordable and livable homes.

I remember meeting Mrs. Carter when she and President Carter were in Seattle supporting their son’s run for political office. She was no more than six feet away on the stage. No barriers between her and the audience. I wanted to say thank you to her in particular for her witness to the best of humanity. As a woman, I am especially proud of Rosalynn Carter for the strong vibrant woman and humanitarian that she was. She and President Carter made a dynamic team bringing peace and love to our world. May she now rest in the loving embrace of God ♥️🙏🏼

Rosalynn Carter was the absolute best First Lady. Why? Because of the service to humanity she performed in the years following the White House years. She was a humble woman of faith and compassion who gave from her heart. May I draw from her spirit and grace.

Mrs. Carter was a inspiration for so many young women and her family should feel very blessed to have had her with them in their lives for such a long time. I would hope that they can hold close all of the warm memories she gave them over the years. Hugs to all.

I so appreciate all you have accomplished, you are truly an amazing woman. I have just joined the Southeast NH Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors and will look to you for inspiration in helping others.

We were privileged to see Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter when we participated in the Habitat for Humanity Mekong Build in Thailand. We mourn her passing along with millions of others who have been touched by her generosity and loving spirit.

I've been a supporter of the Carters since Jimmy's presidency in 1976. Rosalynn and Jimmy were such forces for good, for kindness, for compassion locally and worldwide. We support Habitat, in part because of their involvement.

A thrill of a lifetime was working on the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Habitat Build in Valdosta, GA, and being there as the Carters interacted so personally with the family whose house we helped build. She is one of my heroes for her compassion for and a life lived for others.
