My husband and I send our heart felt condolences to the Carter family and to the world at the loss of such a beautiful and precious person. Inspirational people are rare these days and so to lose one among the few is daunting. But Rosalynn Carter’s spirit touches us all and asks that we move forward in our world with integrity and generosity; with respect for others and for ourselves.

I first met Mrs. Carter at a small Carter Center breakfast nearly 20 years ago. She had such a quiet, soft voice; I had no choice but to pay careful attention. Since then, I think her voice became louder, stronger. This gentle lady has continued to demand that we pay attention - pay attention to human dignity, affordable housing, mental illness, and even butterflies. Thank you, Mrs. Carter!
