What a fantastic role model for women and men with the priorities Rosalynn Carter showed in her focus on others and life of service. Pleased to add my name to her remembrance.

As a teacher, I regret how few public figures of the 21st century serve as models of behavior and conviction for our young Americans. Rosalynn Carter lived her life with respect for moral and civil law, and with conviction that each of us has the responsibility to use our position and our talents to help our fellow human beings. Certainly, she stands as a model of one who knew who she was, remained true to herself, and consequently made the world she touched better for her having lived in it. May she rest in peace.

There are some people who are born into this world who are destined to do great things. I believe Rosalyn Carter to be one of them. She was equal to her husband. She was strong, determined, caring. She had a big heart. And she loved. She loved her husband and they made a strong marriage - each one supporting the other. There are very many of us who could learn much from this amazing couple who kept giving back until they could no longer.

The Carter’s have been an inspiration to many years. The love they had for each other was so joyous Thank you Mrs Carter for the example you set for us all. Prayers for Mr Carter and the Carter family.

As a very young navy officer’s wife in the late 60s, I heard stories about this awesome couple. It was a crazy time that they navigated with class! They were brilliant and beautiful together throughout their whole life together.

I had the privilege of shaking Mrs. Carter's hand and working with her and her husband on an International Build in Vacs, Hungary! It was a very memorable time! A lovely lady from up the street brought us freshly picked berries from her garden. Mrs. Carter was such a kind and gracious person!

She was a dedicated and lovely woman. My thanks to her and to President Carter for all they did for the country and for the world.

Our thoughts and prayers are for the entire Carter family. Mrs Carter was a true humanitarian. She lived to service others. With deep sadness Mrs Carter will be remembered as a gracious lady. May she rest in eternal peace.

It was an honor to have spent time with you both in Atlanta. Our love and respect for all the peace and joy you shared with us will fill our hearts forever. The world is brighter because you were in it.

I became a Habitat supporter after reading of the Carters' dedication and literal “hands on” commitment. May we use their service to others as inspiration for us all.

You were always an inspiration to me. I volunteered for Habitat because of your example. Now I volunteer regularly for my favorite nonprofit because of you and Jimmy. I will miss you.

I was a volunteer in 2013 when the Carters were here to help build homes for Coloradans. They impressed me that they were so involved. I remember that people that worked along side them in their team noted how hard they worked and how hard it was to keep up! May she rest in peace knowing how many families they have touched and inspired!

It was such an honor to attend the first Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter build in Los Angeles -adding her name to the annual build was so appropriate and I sometimes wonder why we didn’t think of it earlier! Her strong, quiet demeanor and passionate heart filled the space when you were near her. What an amazing gift she was to HFH and our country.

Rosalynn Carter was a leader and a mentor for women everywhere. Her compassion and care for people and families are known to so many. She is an inspiration for Habitat volunteers everywhere. I thank her for that. Elly Claus-McGahan

Rosalynn Carter will be missed!! She was a lovely lady and an inspiration to us all. Years ago our daughter waited on the Carter family at 'Dantes Down the Hatch'. Pam's comment to us was “with the restaurant full of patrons, Rosalynn out-shined them all”. She will be missed!

Rosalynn and Jimmy Carter are my human moral compass. What an example throughout my lifetime of goodness and compassion. This is what a life dedicated to doing what good and what is right looks like. I love you both. Thank you for just being who you are.
