Jimmy was such a beautiful man. His heart and love for humanity was close to God’s. He showed us how to love one another and treat each other with kindness. I don’t think we will ever have a politician like you in our world again. Rest in peace I will remember you always. You were the first President in my lifetime!🙏🏻

Works of Love are proof of God's love. President Carter embodied that so completely. He has been an inspiration for me since my youth when he was in office right up to this day. May he rest with all the Angels & the Saints.

My Grandfather and President Carter were good friends and I even have a photo of them flying on Airforce One together.

Ever since I was 2 years old at a 4th of July party, I've loved Jimmy Carter! Every time a firework would go off I'd say, “Yay Jimmy Carter! Yay Jimmy Carter”. Then, 26 years later, when I was with child, I told my mom I was going to name him Carter. To which she said, “Since you were 2 years old, I always knew you'd have a son named Carter”. What a true blessing President Carter was to so many!

With sadness in our hearts and cherished memories on our minds we comforted by knowing his memory will live on through the positive impact he had on so many people around the world.

It was an honor to meet you Mr. President. Building alongside you at a Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project Habitat build is one of my most treasured memories. Godspeed and rest easy.

when my first daughter was born, I named her Amy. Not because of President Carter's daughter initially. My parents were convinced people would only think of President Carter when they addressed MY Amy. They didn't; however, as his presidency ended, and he became the amazing humanitarian he is/was, I would often tell that story when introducing her. She is a grown woman now, and we have participated in Habitat builds in our community with honor. President Carter and Rosalynn embodied what I feel it is to be a true American - embodying integrity, kindness, peacekeeping and truthfulness - and showing that these things can co-exist. I will miss him them this world.

Jimmy and Rosen Carter built my house in 1992 June 15th from 8:00 to 4:00 at Sandtown Habitat Baltimore Maryland. hey were my mentors they meant a lot to me and my girls they will be really missed and my heart and in my soul I love them. Now Jimmy you can teach Sunday school and heaven and be with Rosalynn.

Starting with Raritan Valley and Middlesex County, and now with Morris and Warren Counties, his work and legacy continue to inspire me as well as generations of other volunteers, and motivate us to continue to march forward with this critical mission.

May his soul rest in eternal peace! He was such a loving and caring father to a lot of homeless souls, forever remembered!

President Carter and Rosalynn helped built Habitat houses in the community I grew up (Optimist Park in Charlotte, NC). In fact, the incredible impact they had on the local affiliate paved the way for my family to buy a Habitat home, which radically changed my life and many others in our little community. Years later, he and Rosalynn unassumingly returned to the community for a surprise visit!

I was a child when President Carter was in office. However, as I have grown - and have supported the ideals of HFH - I have become aware of how intertwined he and Rosalynn were with HFH. He was a man of humility, generosity, and service. We need more people like him in this world. He will be missed!

It was my most cherished honor and memory to build alongside Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter for a week in 2018 in Mishawaka, Indiana at the Habitat Carter Work Project Build. As I crossed the road from the food tent to the build site he called out to me to “put your hard hat on young lady!” With a big smile on my face I replied, “Yes Sir”.

The world lost its most important character for the fight for the dignity of living well, and his legacy is the trophy that will be immortalized by everyone who benefited from his achievement.

29 years ago my son was 6 weeks old and my mom was visiting from Idaho. We took her to President Carter’s Church and Sunday School class and after you could have a picture taken with him. He said let the family with the baby come first. My mother, a life long Republican said it was the highlight of her life! President Carter, A Great American and Gentleman. Rest in Peace.❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

When President and Mrs. Carter visited our Anchorage chapter in 2000, I was assigned as their hostess. Upon arrival at the home site, they greeted me by name, we shook hands, and I escorted them to each of the people they were meeting. They both were genuine, warm, and interested in what we were showing them. Their visit was memorable to everyone involved, and is a favorite memory of mine.

I was honored to have met President Carter and the First Lady in Washington in 1978. Truly good human beings.

Had we Listened to President Carter and followed his lead on climate change, we would be the world leader in green technology and fuel. Instead, we chose to embrace a smooth talking but shallow and inept actor who immediately remove the solar panels from the White House and here we are. Godspeed President Carter. The world is a lesser place in your absence.

I first heard of Habitat for Humanity because I received a letter from Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter introducing the organization. Over the years I’ve been pleased to help build a couple of dozen Habitat homes in multiple states. I have deep respect for the organization as well as deep respect for the Carters.

What a kind and selfless man Jimmy Carter was. I've been remembering his daily struggles while helping to rebuild a community. He will always be etched in our hearts and minds!

I met Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter on a Carter Build in Chang Mai Thailand. They took the time to go to each home that was being built and speak to the volunteers and pose for a photo with the Habitat team and future homeowner. They were humble and gracious. They were true Christians — loving and non-judgmental. I feel very blessed to have met them in person.

President Carter came into this world and left this world a better place. We are indebted to our gratitude to the President for his lifelong service to our country. Praying for the Carter family and thanking God for the Carters' lifelong service.

President Carter came to Africa in 2004 to visit non-profit organizations. During that trip, he extended an invitation to Peace Corps volunteers serving nearby. I was a PC volunteer in that group who heard his inspiring words of encouragement for service. It is a cherished memory of mine. As a fellow Habitat for Humanity supporter, I salute & admire his legacy. I'm thankful for leaders like him.

I am a former Habitat employee & had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer at the 2018 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Project. It was such a precious gift to see the loving couple so invested in working alongside Habitat volunteers and advocating for its mission even at their advanced age. President Carter led a devotion & set the tone for an amazing experience. It was a blessing I will always remember.
