I attended the Sunday School Service at Marantaha Baptist in 2007 taught by Mr. Carter. I will always remember their little church and how they welcomed people from all over the world that day. It was an extremely cold February day, but they stayed outside and let everyone have photos taken with them. Our country will be blessed with the spirit of these two. He was always my favorite president. I am a decades long supporter of Habitat for Humanity because of him and his wife.

Rest in Peace Mr. President. You leave this world a much better place because of your work and your commitment to public service. The millions of Americans who have benefitted from your accomplishments will never be able to express their gratitude adequately, but hopefully you and your wonderful wife felt the love. I send sincere condolences to the family.

Jimmy Carter is a shining example of how one person can make an extraordinary difference. I had the honor and privilege of working for him in 1975-6 and 1980. I am blessed to have know him.

Way before my time, and not even in my country. I knew his moral character through the lens of my parents' eyes. His legacy will last.

Feeling tremendous gratitude for President Jimmy Carter and Rosalynn Carter! They have been role models of a consistent life ethic applied to all works ~ public, private, charitable and advocacy. May we live with such clarity and focus! President Carter, pray for us!

The world has lost a human rights champion. From fighting disease to building homes with the world's most needy, President Carter exemplified what a true Christian should be.

President Carter thank you for your beautiful example, you will be missed but live on in all of us you've inspired.

President Carter’s compassion, kindness, and commitment to human rights have inspired so many to work for justice over the years, but one of his greatest strengths was his optimism; the belief that by working together in community with one another, we can achieve a world where every family has a safe place to call home. Until that day, we will continue to build in his honor. RIP, President Carter.
