We are honored to be just one part of the incredible differences President Carter made in the world. For more than three decades, the Carters shared their unwavering passion for helping others with Habitat for Humanity, leading the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project and tirelessly dedicating their hands and their voices toward a vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Because of their devotion, President and Mrs. Carter were named as our inaugural Habitat Humanitarians, the highest honor given to champions of our mission.

Unfortunately it took his dying for me to understand the GREAT impact this Saint of a man had on the entire world. If it weren't for him as President, I would never have been able to afford to attend college. I am grateful for the Habitat volunteer event that I was able to attend. Hopefully his legacy will change ALL of us as we strive for sainthood! He was a saint on earth and now in heaven!

President Carter was the first President I voted for in 1976. He could have been the best two term President for mankind. He was truly for the people and I mean all people. He wanted equity for all not some. I was truly saddened by his passing, but happy he transitioned with the Lord. He was truly a good person.

Carter's remarkable funeral service inspired me to go to the this website - where I found your tribute to Carter and realized this organization is the perfect place for me to support relief efforts for victims of the Eaton Fire. Over the years Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter sent me some lovely Christmas cards with Jimmy's wonderful art on them. I have a Christmas card with Jimmy's self portrait on it and another card where he painted some beautiful red and yellow birds sitting on the branches of a tree. I think the birds are finches. Many, many years ago I went to a book signing where Jimmy was present and signed the books we purchased at that event. Jimmy was behind a plexiglass window for his safety. He looked very busy signing all the books. I just love Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter. In my heart he is one of the very best Presidents we have ever known. Jimmy and Rosalynn have a beautiful family. What a lovely place Jimmy and Rosalynn have been laid to rest.
