For more than three decades, the Carters shared their unwavering passion for helping others with Habitat for Humanity, leading the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project and tirelessly dedicating their hands and their voices toward a vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Because of their devotion, President and Mrs. Carter were named as our inaugural Habitat Humanitarians, the highest honor given to champions of our mission.
