Volunteer on work site.

Corporate volunteering

Europe, Middle East and Africa

Volunteering with Habitat will not only raise your company profile within the local community, but it will also help build relationships within teams and boost company morale.

Your employees will have an opportunity to interact with one another in a non-work setting, meeting colleagues from all over the world in a way that stimulates communication and company team building. This in turn will have a beneficial effect on productivity as employees return to work feeling motivated and inspired.

Volunteer trips are tailor-made to suit your corporation’s goals and preferences. They usually last from 3 to 5 days, during which time your team works on a build site under professional supervision, alongside the families.

These are examples of the kinds of trips we can organize for your corporation:

  • VIP builds
  • Leadership builds for executives or cross departmental managers
  • Team building trips
  • Builds with corporate clients and trade partners
  • Single-day builds
  • Pan-European employee builds
  • New home builds
  • Trans-continental employee builds
  • Women builds
  • Major company build events
  • Builds in global locations
  • Community renovation builds

Volunteer trips are also available for individuals and families looking for an alternative form of traveling. If you are interested in non-corporate volunteer trips, learn more about how they work, where you can go, and how to apply.

“By the end of 2013, more than 1,000 Whirlpool people from the Europe Middle East and Africa region will have built houses with Habitat for Humanity since we became partners in 2004. Every year, more and more people hear about the fun and fulfillment experienced by colleagues on Habitat builds and they too want to take part. This year we are sending volunteers to builds in Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria and Poland. They will be building homes alongside the future homeowners-to celebrate, support and give back to the communities where we work.”
