Habitat for Humanity and Miyamoto International partner to advance global housing resilience and disaster preparedness
CAIRO (Nov. 7, 2024)— Miyamoto International and Habitat for Humanity International are proud to announce a strategic alliance dedicated to improving housing conditions and supporting communities worldwide. This collaboration focuses on responding to emergency and humanitarian crises, advancing recovery and reconstruction, and developing disaster resilient strategies. Together, we aim to mobilize resources to enhance the well-being of low-income households globally, underscoring our shared commitment to a safer, more resilient world.
Building on years of partnership, Miyamoto has collaborated with Habitat for Humanity on various projects, including recent shelter solutions in Turkey to address housing needs after crises. Through this project, Miyamoto conducted technical assessments, repair guidance, and safety communications campaigns, reaching more than 45,000 beneficiaries. This new strategic alliance formalizes our shared commitment to empowering communities, providing safe, and resilient housing to households affected by disasters and poverty.
“Partnering with Miyamoto International enhances our ability to support communities in building resilience against disasters and the impacts of crises. About Habitat for Humanity
Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in more than 70 countries. Families and individuals in need of a hand partner up with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower. To learn more, visit habitat.org.
