Welcome to our new website
Our new website is designed with you in mind. Visit us from your computer, tablet or mobile phone.
Whether you are among the millions of people who regularly visit us online or are just now dropping in for the first time (nice to meet you!), the new habitat.org is designed to help you better connect with the mission of Habitat for Humanity.
We believe in a world where everyone has a decent place to live, and we partner with families to help them achieve strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. All of this is possible only because of your support and interest, and we want to better connect through an improved online experience.
Throughout the new habitat.org, you will discover a wealth of content, all of which is now built to be responsive to multiple devices. Visit us from your desktop, laptop or mobile phone and easily access our information and stories.
We’ve placed a special emphasis on highlighting opportunities for you to get actively involved with Habitat. We want to make sure that you can quickly find how to volunteer locally, learn more about our international volunteer trips, locate your closest Habitat ReStore, make a generous donation in support of Habitat’s work, and more.
We also want to share more of the videos, photographs and stories that inspire us, images and words that will help bring to life for you the families in your community and around the world who are building or improving a place to call home. You will discover how a good home with an affordable mortgage can lead to better health, stronger childhood development and greater financial security. You will see for yourself the transformation that occurs when a family has a stable, decent place to call their own.
You’ll also meet dedicated Habitat volunteers who raise walls, teach financial education classes, stock ReStore shelves and more so that other families can have a strong foundation from which to build. Everyone deserves a decent home, and everyone — including you — can do something to help make that possible.
The new site was developed by Mediacurrent, with user experience, design and digital strategy by Beaconfire RED and Habitat for Humanity International. It was developed in Drupal 8, an open source platform with developers around the world contributing to the community. The foundation of our work together was Habitat’s new brand platform, and we have crafted a site that we believe strongly reinforces our work in communities, our mission and our vision.
We hope you agree. Please spend some time perusing our new website, and let us know what you think at [email protected].
