Did you know that housing is a fundamental human right? Yet, the United Nations estimates that approximately 1.8 billion people worldwide lack a safe place to live.
Decent housing transforms lives, enhancing health, education and future opportunities. Through constant evaluation and monitoring of our projects, we have proven that when a family has a safe place to call home, they can build a better life.
With presence in more than 70 countries, our work in Latin America and the Caribbean focuses on:
- Building low-cost housing or improve existing housing through affordable mortgages, subsidies, and other forms of financing for low-income families.
- Implementing water access, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) projects.
- Developing innovative financial solutions for families excluded from the formal financial sector.
- Advocating for public policies to eliminate barriers that impede access to decent and affordable housing.
- Providing assistance, education and training to vulnerable populations before, during, and after emergencies.
Our commitment to building a future where every family has a dignified and safe place to live is unwavering.
