Events and Experiences Coordinator

AmeriCorps National members serve the community in direct service and capacity building activities.

What will you do?

The Events and Experiences Coordinator will help recruit, train, schedule, and recognize our special event volunteer base. They will work to build relationships with new vendors to support our events in our expanding service territory. They will collaborate closely with volunteers, partner families, and residents to design, organize, and execute a diverse range of activities tailored to the unique interests and needs of our community. This coordinator will assist with overseeing our warehouse tracking system to help organize our inventory supplies for all our events. They will help ensure we provide a positive hospitality experience for our volunteers, partner families, and community members at our events in order for participants to best engage with the mission of Habitat for Humanity.

  • Typically serve Tuesday through Saturday to support work on the build sites and community events.
  • Work with construction staff members to ensure successful volunteer build days through hospitality—overseeing event support volunteers, inventorying volunteer supplies, and updating signage.
  • Help coordinate and oversee events such as fleet week, development kick off events, home dedications, volunteer appreciation, and other cultural celebrations in the community.
  • Build relationships and partnerships with community residents, local organizations, elected officials and community stakeholders.

This position will focus on brand management and volunteer services aspects of Habitat affiliate operations.

  • Unique projects: This member will help support various elevated volunteer events like our annual Power Women, Power Tools, our volunteer appreciation event, our volunteer holiday party, and home dedications.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, national or lawful permanent resident at least 18 or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
