The foundation will provide funding for Habitat’s long-term disaster recovery work, as well as support several local Habitat organizations’ efforts to help families affected by the housing crisis that has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Habitat will use the gift to address the global housing crisis at scale and advocate for systemic change needed to increase equitable access to affordable housing.
Wesco’s contributions will support worldwide projects including Habitat’s Home Equals advocacy campaign, the funding of an energy-efficient home in Chiapas, Mexico, team builds in the U.S. and Canada and sponsorship of the 2024 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project.
