Mauk, Indonesia, is home to 90,000 people, with an average of four to five individuals per household. Around 35,000 live in extreme poverty. This project will help build decent, climate-resilient housing to help improve the lives of people living in extremely poor conditions. 

Only 21% of countries prioritize housing in climate commitments, according to a white paper released at COP29; urgent action is needed to address housing’s role in climate resilience and emissions reduction.

With more than 1.6 billion people across the globe who still lack adequate shelter, our market development programs are continually pursuing new strategies to assist even more families in need of a safe place to call home.
