Koinonia Farm was the culmination of the lifelong passions of farmer and biblical scholar Clarence Jordan. On that farm, among rows of pecan trees, after years of struggles caused by boycotts and persecution, the seeds for Habitat for Humanity were sown.
The 2019 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project marked the 36th year that the former president and first lady have built alongside volunteers and future Habitat homeowners. Volunteers from across the country gathered to help families build roofs, walls and community.
