The lack of affordable housing across the U.S. continues to threaten the livelihoods of essential workers. Habitat for Humanity Roaring Fork Valley and partners created Basalt Vista, a sustainable housing development to help 27 families stay and continue serving the community.
On Dec. 19, Habitat for Humanity Mississippi Capital Area held a very special home dedication for the Jean Kemp house, financed with a $60,000 donation by Garth Kemp in honor of his wife. He sponsored the house without telling her, planning to surprise her at the dedication ceremony.
The 11th annual National Women Build Week empowers women to build safe and decent homes in more than 300 communities nationwide.
Veterans are taking the opportunity to build better, stronger and safer homes with support from The Home Depot Foundation.

Two lucky drawing winners will build with Drew and Jonathan Scott in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 2, as they join volunteers to help two future Habitat for Humanity homeowners begin construction on their homes.
