Thank you for signing up to volunteer at our Port Orchard Harris Court Kitsap Habitat build site! We are down to the final four houses of 32 single family homes. Our focus continues to be on keeping the costs down through energy efficiency from solar, heat pumps, rugged siding and quality insulated windows. The time and energy you devote to the organization helps us build more homes, communities and hope in Kitsap County. We look forward to seeing you. There are many things to love about Kitsap County - it’s beauty and abundance of outdoor activities, hiking, boating, fishing, museums, catch a ferry to Seattle or Victoria and so much more. The length of stay is limited to 14 days with extensions available in special cases. We suggest a donation of $25.00 a night to defray park expenses. Other Locations: http://washington.goingtocamp.com Manchester State Park, up to 40’ Illahee State Park, up to 30’ Kitsap Memorial State Park, up to 30’ All of these parks limit the number of nights to 10 and get booked up VERY quickly. They have showers, dump stations but limited electrical/water hook ups. On the absolute positive upside, these sites overlook and are inside some of the most magnificent, sought-after waterfront and outdoor activity areas. Boating, hiking, fishing, trails, swimming and picnic areas. For many, the tradeoff is a no-brainer, hence the booking up quickly.
