Huber continues global support for Habitat projects
ATLANTA (Sept. 12, 2023) — J.M. Huber Corporation, a global supplier of engineered materials solutions, consumer and industrial products, announced today that it will donate $500,000 to Habitat for Humanity International to support multiple projects in 2023 and 2024. The projects being funded by Huber’s strategic philanthropy and community engagement program, Huber Helps, span the globe to include locations where Huber employees work and live.
Two of the planned projects are water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) renovation initiatives for vulnerable families in Brazil and Singapore that will help improve their homes to have safe, sanitary and livable conditions.
Additionally, Huber is a Gold Sponsor of the 2023 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project, taking place in Charlotte, North Carolina. This includes cash sponsorship as well as a product donation of Huber Engineered Woods’ AdvanTech and ZIP System products. Throughout the week of October 1-6, Huber employees will volunteer on build days that will go toward completing the construction of 27 homes.
In Rifle, Colorado, employees from Huber’s Natural Soda LLC plant will volunteer with Roaring Fork Valley Habitat for Humanity to build a fully sponsored home in the Wapiti Commons development, which is focused on building 20 affordable homes in partnership with local working families and the elderly.
