Four Hands announces partnership with Habitat for Humanity

Austin-based furniture wholesaler to donate $100,000 to support Habitat’s mission of building homes, community and hope around the world

AUSTIN, TEXAS (March 2, 2022) — Four Hands, a global designer and wholesaler of trendsetting lifestyle home furnishings, announced a new partnership with Habitat for Humanity International. From Nov. 30, 2021 through Nov. 30, 2022, Four Hands will donate a minimum of $100,000 to support Habitat for Humanity’s effort to increase access to affordable housing around the world.

“We are excited to have Four Hands join us as a new partner,” said Julie Laird Davis, vice president of corporate partnerships and cause marketing at Habitat for Humanity International. “Four Hands’ commitment to safe and affordable housing is inspiring, and we are grateful for their partnership to further our mission of creating a world where everyone has a decent place to call home.”

Four Hands employees will volunteer with Austin Habitat for Humanity at two builds this year, with the first slated to take place in March on a new home in northeast Austin. In addition to volunteering, Four Hands employees can join the cause via the Charity Miles program, an app that turns an employee’s miles walked, ran or cycled into monetary donations. Four Hands will donate $1.25/mile and $.40/mile for cycling directly to Habitat for Humanity.

“Opportunities like these not only help us build stronger partnerships within our direct community,” said Candace Bridges, vice president of people and culture. “They also give our employees a chance to make a difference through volunteering, which our employees have let us know is really important to them.”

“A safe and stable home matters more now than ever,” said Matthew Briggs, CEO of Four Hands. “That’s why we’re honored to work with Habitat for Humanity – an incredible organization whose mission is to empower families through shelter.”

About Habitat for Humanity

Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in more than 70 countries. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower. To learn more, visit habitat.org.
