“I Build” Is Four-Year Initiative To Celebrate Habitat’s 25 Years Of Providing Decent Homes In Philippines

MANILA, 24th March 2011: Habitat for Humanity Philippines recently unveiled its “I Build” campaign at the Greenbelt 5 mall in Manila.
“I Build” is a four-year initiative of HFH Philippines that will celebrate 25 years of providing decent homes for families in need.
At the launch, HFH Philippines also introduced its line-up of ambassadors: Alexandra Eduque, chair of HFH Philippines’ Habitat Youth Council; television news anchor Arnold Clavio and broadcast journalist Karen Davila; model/actor Derek Ramsay; basketball star Chris Tiu; and television host Kim Atienza.
HFH Philippines also introduced theater actress Cris Villonco and actor/model Matteo Guidicelli as its Youth Ambassadors while Kris Aquino, TV personality, is its Nation-Builder Ambassador. She is the daughter of former President Corazon Aquino, and sister of the current President Benigno Aquino. Kris Aquino also announced her sponsorship of six houses.
The ambassadors are featured in short videos which can be viewed at HFH Philippines Facebook page.
Following the launch, a Youth Build involving 1,000 volunteers will be held in late May. About 1,000 volunteers are expected to be recruited for the “1K for 1Day” build at a resettlement housing site BayaniJuan sa Southville 7 in Calauan, Laguna province.
