“Habitat Discovery Day” in New Zealand!
April 26, 2004
KYOTO 26th April 2004: Students from Kyoto Gaidai Nishi High School, Japan, recently spent a day learning about Habitat’s work in New Zealand.
“Habitat Discovery Day!” offered a chance for nine members of the school’s campus chapter, one of two high school chapters in Japan, to visit local Habitat affiliates and building sites in New Zealand, and broaden their horizons by seeing Habitat at work in New Zealand.
The students, aged 16 to 18, were taking part in the school’s annual six-week stay in New Zealand. The trip involved language and cultural immersion through home stays with local families.
Look for another group of students to participate in a New Zealand “Habitat Discovery Day” next year.
