Senior Cybersecurity Specialist

The Senior Security Specialist is a seasoned professional with specialized expertise in developing and delivering global cybersecurity education and awareness programs. This role involves the development and execution of comprehensive educational programming, managing communications, coordinating cybersecurity events, and overseeing phishing simulation campaigns. The Senior Security Specialist will manage relationships with global stakeholders and community members, solve complex problems, and make prompt, sound decisions with the potential for far reaching impact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity Education & Awareness:
• Develop and execute comprehensive global cybersecurity education and awareness programs.
• Create engaging training materials and presentations tailored to various audiences within the organization.

Communications Strategy:
• Develop and execute communication strategies to promote cybersecurity initiatives and awareness.
• Draft and distribute regular cybersecurity newsletters, bulletins, and advisories.
• Manage and update cybersecurity-related content on the company’s intranet and other platforms.

Event Coordination:
• Plan, coordinate, and execute cybersecurity events such as seminars, conferences, and awareness campaigns.
• Partner with internal and external partners to enhance event content and outreach.

Phishing Simulation & Response:
• Develop and implement phishing simulation campaigns to test and improve employee awareness and response.
• Analyze phishing simulation results and provide recommendations for improving security posture.

Stakeholder Engagement:
• Manage relationships with global stakeholders and community members to ensure alignment and effectiveness of cybersecurity programs.
• Serve as a key point of contact for cybersecurity education and awareness initiatives.

Problem Solving & Decision Making:
• Apply critical thinking and analysis to resolve high-impact, complex, or cross-departmental cybersecurity issues.
• Make prompt, sound decisions with the potential for great impact, often under conditions of uncertainty.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Years of Related Experience: 10 years

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Developing and delivering global cybersecurity education and awareness programs.
• Creating engaging and informative materials for diverse audiences.
• Resolving complex cybersecurity issues and making impactful decisions.
• Planning, coordinating, and executing cybersecurity events.
• Implementing phishing simulation campaigns and analyzing results.
• Managing relationships with global stakeholders and community members.
• Working in cybersecurity within a non-profit or NGO with global stakeholders

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $101,150 to $119,000.
