Case Management Support Intern

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is looking for an intern interested in social work case management, who will be responsible for supporting the record keeping and work planning around cases of alleged misconduct. This may include assisting with scheduling investigation activity, serving as a custodian of critical confidential evidence, and maintaining communications between colleagues involved in the investigation itself. It may also encompass assistance in maintaining a network of survivor support options to ensure that proper after-care is afforded to those who may have suffered harm.

As part of this role, there will initially (first 4-6 months) be additional responsibilities around organizing the inaugural Duty of Care conference, a global gathering of HFHI’s subject-matter experts in fields related to ensuring the wellbeing of Habitat’s staff, volunteers and other representatives.

•Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

**General support to Directors of Safeguarding and Safety & Security in policy implementation: development, informational webinars, training events, etc.
**Strengthen the case management process including mapping survivor support services (psychosocial and legal) and development of a formal Standard Operating Procedure
**Internal communications, planning, and scheduling
**Maintain and oversee knowledge management processes including document organization, moderating Teams channels, updating SmartSheet PM platforms, and annotating Community of Practice meetings
**Assist in planning and serve as a resource for the Duty of Care Conference
**Travel Required: 15% (Domestic and International)

•Minimum:
**Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in relevant field such as social sciences, psychology, social work, child development, or law
**Years of Related Experience: 2-3 years of coursework, volunteer or other experience in related area (e.g. humanitarian protection, child protection, gender based violence, orphans & vulnerable groups, etc.)

•Qualifications:
**Highly organized and detail oriented.
**Ability to work collaboratively with others in a global and cross-cultural organization.
**Demonstrable experience of successfully engaging with colleagues from diverse backgrounds (including remote/virtual engagement)
**Experience handling confidential information with discretion and good judgment
**Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
**Experience working with vulnerable groups
**Fluency in English is required.

Preferred – in addition to minimum:
**Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
**Experienced international traveler
