Quite the day -- Habitat for Humanity Int'l 1
June 7, 2006Quite the day
Good morning. Yesterday was quite the day. The rain stayed away for the most part but really came down in the evening and into the early morning which was fine because our landscapers had everything done just prior to the downpour. Farnsworth Sprinklers did a great job and, on the interior, the trim was finished up by late afternoon and the painters came in just after that. The only problem we ran into was the painters blew an O-ring which by the time that was repaired they were about an hour-and-a-half behind, but they did a great job getting caught up. Cabinets were installed by J &M Cabinetry after the paint dried and we are right on schedule for this morning. J& M stepped up to the plate and did an awesome job. I would also like to acknowledge Linda Flemming — our Habitat director, organizer and jack-of-all-trades. She is truly a “get your hands dirty” type of person. If there is a job that needs done she just gets it done including everything from putting walls up to cleaning to hanging insulation to moving dirt to helping with meals to setting windows and doors and, for the most part, being a great motivator. Good job, Linda!!!
