Our blitz:
Habitat Birmingham will partner with 10 home builders and the city of Birmingham to complete 10 houses in one week. A groundbreaking is planned for Friday, May 30, at 9 a.m. and the house dedication ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 6, at 5 p.m.

Houses will be constructed in East Avondale at the former Butler School site at 3rd Avenue South and 47th Street South in Birmingham, Ala.

Home Builders Blitz 2008 marks Habitat Birmingham’s third year to host Home Builders Blitz for a total of 25 new houses.
